About

They call me Elise the Great. I am an ICU nurse and I write about all the butts I clean and blood I wade through from shift to shift.

Every shift I work, I will write a full report: medical stories fresh from the unit, with clear language, disgusting metaphors, and all the stress and horror and shit-flinging you can handle during your lunch break.

  4. Hey, thanks for writing this blog. My mom had a quadruple heart bypass a few weeks ago and having read your blog beforehand, I was able to feel, well, still worried but so much better and more confident than I would have been otherwise.

Your posts about open hearts and diabetes resonated. Thank you.

  5. Just read your entire blog over two days. I really enjoyed it. I hope you're well, and I hope to read more.

  6. Product was sized just right with great quality considering it was one of the cheaper options among womens scrub pants! I liked this style even better than the costlier Scrub Tops.

  7. Just happened upon your blog. It is wonderful. Too bad blogs eat up so much time. I'd love to read more from you, but I'm guessing it became too labor intensive. If there is a way I could help (I'm a programmer/developer), I would volunteer my services. Though I suppose a writer or editor would probably be more helpful for you.
